Friday 07/11/14
African dust should raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of South, Southeast, and Central Texas today. The daily PM2.5 AQI could reach the middle to high end of the "Moderate" range in much of South Texas. Elsewhere in the state, decreasing background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Saturday 07/12/14
African dust could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of the state. Dust concentrations should be highest in South, Central, and North Central Texas, and eastern portions of West Texas, where the daily PM2.5 AQI could reach the middle to high end of the "Moderate" range. Winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the Houston area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.

Sunday 07/13/14 Outlook
African dust could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of the state. Dust concentrations should be highest from South and Southwest Texas up into the Panhandle, where the daily PM2.5 AQI could reach the middle of the "Moderate" range. Winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the Houston area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.

Monday 07/13/14 Outlook
Lingering African dust could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over much of the state, although dust concentrations should be decreasing and may allow the daily PM2.5 AQI to return to the "Good" range along the coast in South and Southeast Texas.

Tuesday 07/14/14 Extended Outlook
Incoming background levels may be low enough, along with moderate daytime winds, to keep air quality in the "Good" range statewide.
