City of Dallas recognizes Oak Cliff restaurant for water saving efforts;
DWU mascot will "Drop Props" at Hunky's Old Fashioned Hamburgers
What: As part of the City's ongoing water conservation outreach to the hospitality industry, Dew, Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) lovable save water mascot, will drop "props" at Hunky's Old Fashioned Hamburgers in Oak Cliff's Bishop Arts District. "Dew Drops Props" is a program recognizing restaurants who serve water only on request.
Water on request programs save water by eliminating unconsumed glasses of H2O plus saving the liquid required to clean those unused glasses. And there's labor savings too, since staff won't have to fill, deliver, clear and wash all those unwanted glasses of water.
About Dew: Dew has been entertaining and educating children and adults about water conservation for years. Being a drop himself, Dew cares a lot about water, having lived in oceans, rivers and lakes. After many trips through washing machines, sinks, sprinklers, and drains, he realized how much water is being wasted. Today, he is a vital part of DWU's conservation effort, Save Dallas Water. Nothing Can Replace It!
